Back to reality.. and my little girl Nikole... =D

So, I got married. This isn't the blog that I am going to write about that though. This isn't the blog about the hooneymoon either. This is the blog about my little girl Nikki. She was born on Febuary 16th 2008 only 6 days before Michael asked me to marry him. She is an adorable vivacious Jack Russell Poodle Hybrid. Nikki is a little ball of energy, but despite that she still loves to cuddle with her mommie. At her early age she has many talents. She is completely (well mostly, on good days at least, I think, I hope... =S ) potty trained to use the doggy door in the house to the garage because we don't have a yard. She likes to shred paper, chase bottles and chew on them, after taking the label and cap off all by herself. She does hat tricks with her empty food bowl, balancing it on her nose and throwing it up in the air and then bounding over to do it all over again. We were watching a movie on the couch a few days ago and she was playing with her bowl next to me and she managed to throw it so well it hit me in the side of the noggin. It hurt but the swelling has finally gone down. Nikki likes to watch tv, especially dancing with the stars, dance on her hind legs and jump into my arms despite her stature limitations. She also likes to open the bedroom door by jumping and pulling the handle down, which is a good foot higher than her head when she stands on her hind legs. Her favorite game is chase, and she often chews on fingers or toes. When she wants my attention she steals a loose sock or a stuffed animal that is not hers and runs around the house so I can't catch her. Just this morning though, I caught her putting one of the stuffed animals she is not supposed to have back where it belonged because I told her to. She is absurdly smart. She is infinitely curious, and just as determined to get whatever it is that she wants. Sound like anyone you know? =D She is also hard to photograph because she is all black.
Here I am strangling her. HA! just kidding she was yawning. Looks ferocious eh? Don't let her fool you, if she hears a noise she doesn't like she barks at it and then hides on my lap, or behind me. She sleeps with me every night cuddle between my pillows, sometimes even on top of my pillow with her little wet nose almost touching mine. Before bedtime she likes to give Michael a bath, she will lick any part of him she can get to and then expects to be repaid in playtime, and then she starts nibbling on his hands.

When we were on our honeymoon, my parents babysat her for me, she gave them a lot of grief and sleepless nights, and for that I am truly sorry, but so thankful that they were able to keep her. When we came to pick her up my mom was holding her and as soon as she saw me she kicked and struggled against her grasp to get to me. I think she wouldn't let me put her down for a while after that. I could honestly talk about her all day, so I will try to find some more pictures of her and post them after this. Here she is in a rare moment of stillness.
